In a major partnership, Hocking College and ABC Central Ohio have created unique programs to help you reach your career goals, obtain training needs, and meet Ohio licensing requirements. These college courses are available at ABC facilities located in Columbus, Ohio.
Earn College Credit in the ABC Central Ohio Apprenticeship Program!
While you are enrolled as an apprentice in the ABC Central Ohio Apprenticeship Program, you will earn up to 40 credit hours toward your associate degree in construction management through Hocking College.
Have you already completed the ABC or other apprenticeship program?
- Provide documentation for evaluation and receive up to 40 required college credit hours toward your associate degree.
Do you possess journeyperson skills, but never completed a formal apprenticeship program?
- Pass the ABC Journeyperson Assessment and receive up to 40 required credit hours toward your associate degree.
Have you already taken courses at another college?
- Have transcript(s) sent from your previous college(s) to Hocking College for evaluation.
How do I qualify?
- Complete an ABC New Student Application.
- Complete a Hocking College application.
- Proof of age - Driver License preferred.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Good math and reading skills.
- Veterans are required to submit a copy of their discharge paperwork, DD-214.
- Registered with the U.S Selective Service program if 26 or under.
How much does it cost?
- Most employers will usually pay all the training costs asociated with the apprenticeship program.
- Hocking College courses are $300 per course (plus books) and may be paid by the student and sometimes the employer.
- If you enroll in 6 or more college credit hours per quarter, you may be eligible for traditional college financial aid based on your income.
