Advocacy

Get into politics or get out of business
Advocating for our members and promoting the value of the merit shop construction profession to legislators and policy makers is an important priority for the Associated Builders and Contractors, both nationally and locally. To do this, we address legislative and regulatory issues that affect the construction industry.  We also strive to keep our members informed about National, State and Local legislative and regulatory activities through action alerts, issue briefs and regular government affairs updates.

The knowledge and representation needed to protect your companies from unfair and anti-competitive business practices, and the promotion of the merit shop philosophy ranks among the main reasons why companies join and remain members of ABC Central Ohio.ABC Central Ohio encourages its members to get involved with legislative, political and regulatory proposals that impact the merit shop construction industry. ABC Central Ohio provides resources for members to better understand, support, and voice opinions on legislation.
