On April 28, 2020, the Department of Labor (DOL) and Treasury (Departments) issued deadline relief to help employee benefit plans, plan participants and plan service providers impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The deadline relief begins March 1, 2020 and extends 60 days after the end of COVID-19 National Emergency. A Legal Update outlining the rule in detail can be found here.
